Breast Lift with Augmentation

3496

This 33-year-old woman had undergone a breast augmentation procedure in another country, but felt that her upper breasts looked artificially full. She was also unhappy that her nipples pointed downward, so she decided to find a Los Angeles breast implants specialist who could make her breasts look symmetrical and natural.

Her surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates recommended that they replace her old implants with new silicone gel implants that had a smaller volume and base diameter. The silicone implants would give her a more natural slope on her upper breast, but implants alone could not correct her downward nipple position. Her surgeon suggested that they perform a circumareolar (around the nipple) breast lift to both breasts in order to make her nipples symmetrical in size and position.

With a circumareolar breast lift, the surgeon removes a circular patch of skin shaped like a doughnut around the areola skin (the skin around the nipple) and then repositions the nipple higher, suturing the skin around the nipple, which lifts the breast with no long, unattractive scars underneath or down the breast.

After her implants and were replaced and her breast lift in Southern California completed, she was given time to recover. After she had healed, the “after” photos were taken, showing great improvement in symmetry in her areolar size and position. Additionally, as the profile image shows, her breasts slope much more naturally and no longer appear too full. She was very happy with the improvement and glad that she finally had breasts that looked natural and even.
